Amethyst quartz - Su Marralzu quarry - Osilo - Sassari prov. - Sardinia - Italy (#:GM18035)

A big crystal of amethyst quartz is stunning in the middle of this specimen. Its top is not fulll, it has some cavities: it seems an aggregate of three crystals that are deeply intergrowth themselves. Some other minor crystals are visible on a side: they have the typical shape of the quartzes of this famous locality.
